Active Monsoon in sight for North and Central India

A low pressure area has formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood which will ensure the active Monsoon conditions over Indian Subcontinent. As the axis of Monsoon trough passing over central and Northern parts of India along with embedded circulation rain activity to increase over North and central India over the weekend providing much relief from heat and humidity. Meanwhile vigorous monsoon to continue over West coast and subdued activity to persist over East and Northeast India.

Except western ghats most parts of Tamil Nadu to remain dry with isolated rain in North Tamil Nadu and in South Tamil Nadu interiors.

 

City Outlook:

Chennai – Warm and sunny with highs of 36C and mins of 26C. Chance of sharp showers by evening.

Coimbatore – Cool and pleasant with highs of 29C and mins of 23C with on and off passing showers.

Madurai – sunny and partly cloudy with highs of 36C and mins of 26C. Light rain possible.

Trichy – Sunny and breezy with highs of 36C and mins of 27C with a chance light rains.

Vellore – Partly cloudy and warm with highs of 35C and mins of 27C. Sharp showers possible by evening.
