Active monsoon prevails over the subcontinent

The monsoon onslaught is set to continue over the core regions in western ,central parts of the subcontinent and also the central and north east. Coastal Kerala, Karnataka, the Ghat regions and Konan coast in particular would see heavy to very heavy spells in a few places. A low pressure area is likely to form over North Bay and neighborhood in next few days and would further help sustain the monsoon surge. A few places in West TN and the Ghat regions would see some showers , it is expected to be isolated elsewhere in the State.

City Outlook:

Chennai – Warm and partly cloudy skies ahead with max temperature settling around 35c and min temp around 27c.

Vellore – Partly cloudy skies with maximum temp may touch 34-35c and min temp around 25c.

Trichy – Cloudy skies and windy day with max temperature around 35c and min around 25c.

Madurai – Party cloudy skies and maximum temperature may shoot upto 36c and min possible around 25c.

Coimbatore – Delightful day with maximum temperature possibly around 29-30c and min of about 23c. Showers in spots.
