Bay hosts Cyclone “TITLI”

The cyclonic storm TITLI over west central Bay of Bengal moved North westwards and it is very likely to intensify further into a Severe Cyclonic storm during the next 12 hours. It is very likely to move Northwestwards and cross Odisha and adjoining North Andhra Pradesh coasts between Gopalpur and Kalingapatnam by around 11th October morning. Thereafter it is very likely to re-curve North east wards and move towards Gangetic West Bengal across coastal Odhisha and weaken gradually.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places very likely over Odisha and adjoining Coasts. Fishermen are not advised to venture into these areas. TN should wait for its turn of rains till this system weakens completely. Till then, isolated rains at few places of TN cannot be ruled out.
