Dry and cold weather to dominate Tamilnadu

Dry and cold weather would prevail over Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Maximum temperature would be at least one degree above normal and minimum would be around  one degree below normal over all the region of TN for this period. Present weather condition is not expected to change much for at least one or two weeks. It is better to  protect from sun since most of the days will see beautiful blue skies with sunny and warm, sometimes laced with a few isolated clouds. Two troughs of low  lie one over south east Arabian Sea and another over south west bay of Bengal off south Sri Lanka and they are  not expected  to induce rain  over TN regions.

City Outlook:

Chennai – Partly cloudy and pleasant. Maximum temperature is expected to settle around 31 C.

Madurai would witness with plenty of sunshine and maximum temperature may surge upto 36 C.

Coimbatore – Partly cloudy with morning chillness and mercury may rise upto 33 C and minimum would be around 22 C.

Trichy – Mostly sunny and pleasant. Maximum temperature is likely to settle around 32 C.

Vellore – Partly cloudy with pleasant weather with a maximum temperature of  31 C.
