Dry weather to persist over TN

A low pressure area persists over the South Andaman Sea. This is likely to concentrate into a depression in the next 2 days. Heavy rainfall accompanied by squally winds are likely at isolated places over Andaman and Nicobar islands.
Due to the influence of a western disturbance, heavy rain/snow likely at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal. Dense fog is likely at isolated places over the plains of UP and Bihar and the North Eastern states. Cold wave conditions are likely to prevail over parts of North Interior Karnataka and Telangana.
Dry weather is expected to persist over Tamil Nadu, with no appreciable change in temperature. Ground frost is likely to occur over a few places in the Nilgiris range during the night.
