Heat strengthens grip across India

Heat wave conditions sweeps many western, central and eastern part of  the country rising a huge concern among different society. Official Met agency warns of similar conditions to prevail for next few days which would make it worse. Meanwhile Northeastern states would see increase in rainfall activity with heavy rain at isolated places and possibility of squall/hail in few places.
Southern states also likely to see increase in temperature in the coming days particularly in the interior regions and  also thundershowers would occur  in few places over extreme south peninsula and also over western ghats.

City Outlook:

Chennai – A calm morning leading to a warm and sultry day. Respite in the form of persistent sea breeze till late in the evening. Day high would peak around 34 degrees.

Coimbatore – Nice and sunny with a day high of 36 degrees. Nights to remain pleasant.
Madurai – Another scathing hot summer day over the region. High of 37/38 possible.
Tiruchi – A gentle breeze around at day break. A hot and humid day later on. A high of 38 degrees to be expected.
Vellore – Typically hot and humid over the region. Day max should peak around 38 degrees.
