Heat wave like conditions to persist over Coastal TN

As the surface level westerlies has gained strength over Peninsular India, heat wave like conditions is expected to prevail over the eastern peninsula and adjoining areas. Soaring mercury levels is expected to torment and threaten the normal livelihood of the people in Coastal AP, Telangana, Interior Odisha, Vidharba, East Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Rayalaseema and north Tamilnadu.
Meanwhile, a trough at mean sea level is seen running from Coastal Andhra Pradesh to south TN. Evening thunderstorms in north and central Interior TN are expected to get a major push from the aforementioned trough leading to localised strong gusts of winds and intense downpours.

Chennai – A Sweaty and a Hot day leading to an uncomfortable night.  Max of around 42 degrees and a low of 31 degrees.
Coimbatore – A Partly cloudy and Humid day. 80% chances of a Thunderstorm in the evening/night. High of around 37 degrees and a low of 25 degrees.
Madurai –  A Very Hot day giving way to a manageable night. High of 40 degrees and a low of 28 degrees.
Trichy – A Scorching day will be followed by warm night. High of around 42 degrees and a low of 29 degrees.
Vellore – A Blazing Hot day leading to partly cloudy skies during the evening/night. 60% chances of a Thunderstorm in the evening. High of 44 degrees and a low of 28 degrees.
