The Well-marked low pressure south/South west of Indian peninsula concentrated into a depression today, it is expected to intensify further as it tracks further NW, possibly skirt parallel and away from the coast before dissipating into open waters later this week. Under its influence, isolated heavy rainfall is expected in south Tamil Nadu and South Kerala.
Isolated regions in Interior Tamil Nadu including places in western Ghats, a few isolated places in interior Kerala and Karnataka could receive thundershowers in the next couple of days. Squally winds are expected off South TN and South Kerala coasts.
Chennai – Mix of sun and clouds with a high of about 33 degrees and a low of about 29 degrees.
Vellore – Mostly cloudy and warm with a high of 34 degrees and a low of about 24 degrees.
Madurai – Cloudy day with a chance of a thunderstorm during the day, late evening/night showers are possible as well.
Trichy – Cloudy with a high of 31 degree, isolated thundershowers are possible.
Coimbatore – Cloudy with a high of 33 degrees, thundershowers likely during the day.
