After the widespread thunderstorms that drenched many parts of Tamilnadu, the stage is still set for some more rain activity in the coming days. The axis of the monsoon slightly advanced northward and the eastern part is tilted close to the foothills of the Himalayas. The westerly slowdown is expected to persist for a few more days until the axis retracts to a more southerly position, this means that further possibility of rain showers exist for Tamilnadu for atleast a day or two- both coastal and interiors. It is expected to gradually reduce as the monsoonal flow strengthens in the west.
