Isolated Thunderstorms to continue over TN

The axis of monsoon trough at mean sea level continues to pass through Kapurthala, Ambala, Pantnagar, Bahraich, Gorakhpur, Muzaffarpur, Malda and northeast Bay of Bengal across South Bangladesh. Heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places very likely over Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Heavy rain expected over isolated places over Assam & Meghalaya, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka, Konkan & Goa and Gujarat Region. Rough to very rough sea conditions are likely to prevail along & off Gujarat coast and Andaman islands. Fishermen are advised not to venture into sea over these regions.

Chennai – Chances of isolated showers exist on a day with a max of 37C and min of 27C.

Vellore – One or two showers in the vicinity and day time will be warm at 37C. Nights should be warm at 26C.

Madurai – Hot and sunny with mercury settling at 39C/26C. Chance of an odd shower in the vicinity.

Trichy – Very warm and sunny with highs of 38C and lows of 27C. Dry weather will prevail in the city.

Coimbatore – Slightly warmer than normal with day highs of 33C. Nights will cool down at 23C. No chance of rains.
