It’s all happening.. Yes, it’s about heat and heatwave warnings over isolated parts of interior/North TamilNadu and Puducherry during the next two days. Heatwave and unforgiving conditions also likely to prevail over Jharkhand, Telangana, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Vidharba and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh (quite a long list). Severe heatwave at isolated places is possible over Odisha.
As a positive note, reduction in temperatures is possible after 48 to 72 hours over North Coastal Tamil Nadu, however interiors may not be that lucky.
Seasonal thunderstorms with hail is likely to occur over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and many parts of the North East India.
Chennai – Mainly clear to partly cloudy sky with hot winds blowing during the forenoon/afternoon (1000 to 1500 hours), a maximum of 37 to 38 degrees and a minimum of around 29 degrees.
Madurai – Maximum of 40 to 41 degrees and a minimum of 27 degrees, thundery development during late evening is possible.
Coimbatore – A maximum of 37 to 38 degrees and a minimum of 25 degrees with partly cloudy skies.
Trichy – Another 42 degree is very much a possibility and a minimum of 29 degrees makes it a very unpleasant day.
Vellore – A punishing day ahead with a maximum of 42 degrees and a minimum of nearly 30 degrees.
