Under the influence of a west moving low pressure area in north Indian Ocean, mild to moderate precipitation is expected across most parts of TN. This weak system is expected to move west first and then North West into the Arabian Sea, under the influence of the sub-tropical ridge centered in the bay of Bengal.
Rainfall is expected to gradually reduce over the state starting Wednesday. Northern parts of the state, including the state capital could see light rainfall and cloudy conditions.
Chennai – Cooler and cloudy with a high of about 31 degrees and a low of about 29 degrees.
Vellore – Partly cloudy with a high of about 33 degrees and a low of about 24 degrees.
Madurai – Break from heat with on and off showers. High of about 28 degrees.
Trichy – Rain showers with a high of about 28 degrees.
Coimbatore – Partly cloudy a high of about 29 degrees and a low of about 23 degrees.
