Monsoon to turn active over core Monsoon Zones

A low pressure area has formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal which will drag the monsoon axis to normal position and the circulation is expected to move towards East and central India causing heavy to very heavy rains over East India. Along with monsoon axis the off-shore through in West coast is also activated as a result of moisture incursion from Bay circulation causing widespread rains in West coast.

Surface level winds have strengthen over Tamil Nadu as a result of moisture incursion from Bay circulation and also reduce Thunderstorm formation. Day time temperature to continue to hover around normal range.
