A low pressure area over southwest and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal persists. As a result of this, scattered rains are likely to occur over Coastal Tamil Nadu. Strong winds of the order of 45-55 kmph are likely to occur along and off Tamil Nadu coasts. Fishermen are advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea. Ground frost is likely to occur over hilly ranges of Nilgiris during night.
Moving up north, cold wave conditions would prevail over parts of Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana. Foggy conditions are expected to prevail over parts of Uttar Pradesh and north eastern states.
