Seasonal Westerlies take firm control over most parts of TN

Seasonal Westerlies will lead to unbearable day time conditions in most parts of Interior and Coastal Tamilnadu. The trough at mean sea level from north Coastal Andhra Pradesh to south coastal Tamilnadu along the east coast persists. Owing to this Thunderstroms likely at Interior parts of Tamilnadu. An upper air Cyclonic circulation over northeast Jammu & Kashmir persists at 3.1km above the mean sea level. Due to this Thunderstorms likely at extreme North India.

The southwest monsoon has further advanced into some parts of southwest Bay of Bengal, some more parts of southeast Bay of Bengal and north Andaman Sea and remaining parts of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of southeast Bay of Bengal, some parts of east-central Bay of Bengal and remaining parts of north Andaman Sea during next 48 hours.
