Monsoon rains have been vigorous over the West Coast, Ghat regions, Gangetic West Bengal, Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra and Telangana. Monsoon activity over the aforementioned regions would continue to be active over the next 3-4 days.
Thunderstorm activity is expected to remain subdued in most parts of Tamil Nadu and extreme southern peninsula. Partly cloudy conditions to exist over a few places in the state. Temperatures might just breach the normal line in a few places over Southern and Interior Tamil Nadu.
Monsoon would continue to pound most parts India during the next 3-4 days.
Chennai – Mediocre day with partly cloudy skies and strong westerly winds, with a maximum temperature of 34 – 35 C. Fat chance of a shower.
Madurai – A hot day with mercury level peaking at 36-37 C.
Trichy – Moderate day with partly cloudy skies and gusty winds, with a maximum temperature of 34 – 35 C.
Coimbatore – A warm and comfortable day with the mercury striking 32-33 C at maximum. Showers possible in the district.
