Thunderstorms set to continue over Southern Peninsula

Evening thunderstorms is expected to continue in many places of Southern Peninsula India. The trough from the cyclonic circulation extends to Coastal Karnataka across Odisha, South Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Rayalaseema and South Interior Karnataka. Due to this heavy rainfall possible at Isolated places over Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The South West Monsoon withdrawal line continues to pass through Agra, Gandhi Nagar, Dwarka, Lat. 22°N/Long. 65°E/ Lat.22°N/Long. 60°E.

Chennai – Warm and partly cloudy skies ahead with max temperature settling around​ 34c and min temp around 26c. Heavy thunderstorms possible in the evening/night.

Vellore – Clear skies with maximum temp may touch 34c and minimum temp around 25c. High chances for evening thunderstorms.

Trichy – Very warm and partly cloudy skies with maximum temperature around 35-36c and min around 25c.

Madurai – Clear skies and Maximum temperature may shoot upto 36c and Min possible around 24c.

Coimbatore – Pleasant day with maximum temperature possibly around 32c and min of about 23c.
