Trend of Thundershowers continue to roll on

Conducive conditions for Thundershowers continue to prevail over interior parts of Tamilnadu as many places are expected to receive rains mostly by late afternoon or evening. Coastal parts of Delta and South TN are expected to receive stray showers owing to enhanced easterlies related convection. As far as temperature levels are concerned, most parts of the state will continue to see below normal daytime temperatures.

Most of Kerala will be witness to Thunderstorms by noon and evening as premonsoon rainy season peaks. The Depression over West Central Arabian sea and Gulf of Aden will have no impact on the weather proceedings of Indian mainland. Influence of Western Disturbances will continue to shower parts of Punjab, Himachal and Jammu and Kashmir. Seasonal storms over East and North eastern states will fructify yet again.

Chennai – Partly cloudy and muggy with day time highs of 36C. Night will be very warm at 28C

Vellore – Very warm and sunny with highs of 38C and lows of 26C.

Trichy – Very warm and partly cloudy with a high of 38C. Lows will settle at 28C. Parts of the district will experience Thundershowers.

Madurai – Very warm and partly cloudy with max of 38C and min of 27C. Expect Thundershowers in the vicinity.

Coimbatore – Warm and cloudy with highs of 34C and lows of 24C. Chance of a shower or two by evening.
