Wet weekend likely over North Tamil Nadu

The axis of monsoon  trough is likely to shift northwards close to foothills of Himalayas and an upper air circulation(UAC) over central parts of India embedded in the monsoon trough is seen extending upto 3.6 KM above mean sea level.
Various other UACs are prevailing over Jharkhand, North Odisha, Saurashtra areas. All the above weather inferences would induce worth of rainfall over the regions of central, western and north central India.

In Tamilnadu, thunderstorm will pan out into parts of north interior, north coastal region including Chennai city. Occasional thundershowers may break out over parts of the Southern Peninsula during the next two to four days, as per the available forecast from various models. North Tamilnadu would likely be the maximum gainer from the upcoming wet spell.

Chennai – Partly cloudy. Few places in city may have isolated shower or thunderstorm in the evening/night. Maximum temperature is likely to settle at 37° C.
Vellore – Partly cloudy with maximum temperature of 37° C and the region should see thunder showers later in the day.
Madurai – Mostly sunny with maximum temperature of 38° C. Region may have isolated shower
Trichy – Partly cloudy and warm. Max Temperature would be around 37° C
Coimbatore – Mostly cloudy with a chance of  a shower in the evening/night. Max Temperature would hover around 32.5° C.
