Bay hosts a Cyclone

The depression over East Central Bay of Bengal has moved NorthEastwards and intensified into a deep depression and layover Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. The system is very likely to intensify today into a named Cyclone – “Mora” and move North-Northeastwards and cross Bangladesh coast between longitude 91.0ºE and 92.0ºE near  Chittagong around 30th May 2017 noon. Under the influence of this System, Conditions are favourable for further advance of SouthWest Monsoon during next 24 hours. The northern limit of monsoon (NLM) continues to pass through 5.0°N/ 76.0° E, 8.0°N/83.0°E, 10.0°N/ 86.0°E, 14.0°N/ 92.0°E and 16.0°N/ 95.0°E.
Regarding Tamilnadu, it’ll remain hot and dry except for the interior districts where Isolated Thunderstorms are expected in a few places. Meanwhile Heavy rains are very likely at isolated places over Northeastern states, Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka, Kerala, Odisha and Lakshadweep.

Vellore: Generally cloudy sky with Light rain possibilities. High of 39 degrees and a low of 31 degrees.
Coimbatore:    Mostly cloudy Sky with slight chances of Rain. Max & Min temp would be around 34 & 25 C.
Trichy: Partly cloudy with a Max of 39 degrees and a minimum of 28 degrees.
Madurai: Hot day on cards with few clouds around. Expected Max of 40 degrees and a minimum of 27 degrees.
