The South West Monsoon has been quite vigorous across Madya Maharasthra, Konkan and Goa during the past 24 hours. With an active Monsoon Low seen near the North west Bay of Bengal, off Odisha and West Bengal, plumb monsoon conditions are set to prevail in the aforementioned states. This Low is likely to intensify to a well marked low over the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, the West Coast will be drenched as usual with orographic rains under the influence of an offshore trough that is seen running from Gujarat to Kanara coast. Tamil Nadu, except for some cloudy skies, may not experience rains. Day time temperatures in the state will be close to normal at several places.
