As the very severe Cyclonic Storm MAHA over east central Arabian sea moved further westwards, the storm is closely watched on its advances. As per the current conditions, it is very likely to move west-northwestwards slowly today, re-curve east-northeastwards and move rapidly thereafter. It is very likely to weaken gradually from tomorrow, and expected to cross Gujarat coast between Diu and Dwarka as a Severe Cyclonic Storm around midnight of 6th or early hours of 7th Nov 2019.
Isolated thunderstorms are likely to continue over parts of Tamilnadu. The Cyclonic circulation over North Andaman Sea & Adjoining Myanmar coast persists. Under its influence, a Low Pressure Area is likely to form over North Andaman Sea today. This system genesis is closely watched, but is very likely to move West-northwards, concentrate into a Depression over East central Bay during the next 2 – 3 days.
