The sudden surge in temperatures over Tamil Nadu is expected to thrive on Saturday with little rain across not only the state, but the entire country except for the north eastern states.
The dry and hot weather is likely to give rise to an intolerable afternoon across the entirety of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, with temperatures nearing 45 C in a few pockets of the latter. An isolated shower or two might occur along the Western Ghats in Kerala and adjoining Tamil Nadu.
Chennai – Hot, dry day ahead with the temperature possibly hitting 40 C during noon.
Madurai – Yet another blazing day ahead for Madurai with maximum temperature crossing 40 C with easing, peaking at about 41-42 C
Coimbatore – A hot afternoon with temperature peaking at 38 C, and with minuscule chances of showers.
Trichy – Hot and copper sky expected with the mercury hitting 42 C.
Vellore – Super hot day ahead where maximum temperatures of 43 C are likely.
