Invigorated thunderstorms to drench North Interior Tamil Nadu

Conditions are becoming favorable for advance of southwest monsoon over south Andaman Sea & neighbourhood by around 23 May 2018. The cyclonic circulation is persisting over Lakshadweep & neighbourhood extending upto 3.6 km above mean sea level.
Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to develop over Central parts of south Arabian Sea around 21st May 2018. The further track of this atmospheric disturbance is under keen watch.

Pulsating Thunderstorms over North Interior Taminadu and South Interior Karnataka are expected to provide drenching downpours during late evening/night for the next 2-3 days. Meanwhile, subdued summer conditions to continue across the state.

Coimbatore – A Partly cloudy and Humid day. 80% chances of a Thunderstorm in the evening/night. High of around 37 degrees and a low of 24 degrees.

Madurai – An Uncomfortably warm day leading to thundershowers in some parts of the city in the evening. High of 38 degrees and a low of 26 degrees.

Trichy– A Hot and humid day will be followed by warm night. High of around 38 degrees and a low of 28 degrees.

Vellore– A Scorching day leading to partly cloudy skies during the evening/night. High of 41 degrees and a low of 28 degrees.
