Spotty showers are likely in the state of Tamil Nadu amidst a hot day with partly cloudy skies. Rains are likely to slightly reduce in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh after the recent heavy spell of rains. Heavy showers are likely along the Konkan coast as Mumbai continues to record surplus rains. Coastal Karnataka could also join the fray with moderate-heavy rains. As the southwest monsoon season approaches an end, thunderstorms are likely to become more frequent and widespread in the interiors of the peninsula.

Madurai – Hot day on the cards with the maximum temperature peaking at 37-38 C. Thunderstorms could form in the district in the afternoon.
Trichy – Yet another hot day ahead for Trichy as temperatures could soar up to 36-37 C. Showers possible in the evening.
Vellore – A fairly warm day up ahead with maximum temperatures of 34-35 C. Rains could fall in the district by evening.
Coimbatore – A moderately hot day ahead with mild maximum temperatures of 32-33 C
