No signs of monsoon onset as SWM period begins over Indian Territory

No signs of south west Monsoon onset seen in the Indian mainland at least for the next 2- 3 days. The northern limit of the monsoon remains close to Andamans and South east Bay and is no sooner expected to gain much latitude. Heavy rainfall activity likely over isolated places in the islands in response to Monsoon surge.
Over the Indian subcontinent, pre monsoon conditions are set to persist with interiors setting up stage for Thunderstorms in the southern
states. The respite from heat wave in North West and North India is also set to continue. Squally weather likely in parts of east and north east India.
