Under favorable conditions, the summer monsoon is set to advance further and turn more vigorous over the next few days. Numerical weather models show formation of a trough over the West coast. Also another trough is gradually expected to form over Northern India due to strong ground heating. The combination of these two seasonal low pressure areas will increase the strength of the monsoon and bring beneficial rainfall over the country. Scattered thundershowers are set to continue over various parts of TN with chance of isolated heavy thunderstorms.
