While most parts of Tamil Nadu have remained dry with spotty rainfall in the state except for the southern parts of the state, the west coast continues to get widespread rainfall from the southwest monsoon. Most parts of the west coast are likely to see light to moderate rainfall with some heavy rainfall especially along the belt from north coastal Karnataka to Mumbai. Isolated instances of heavy rainfall amounts are possible in the state of Kerala, with scattered thundershowers in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Odisha. Widespread rain is likely in the northeastern states as well.Some parts of north India will continue witnessing temperatures above 40 C while much of the southern peninsula is likely to remain below the 40 C mark.
