Thunder showers to continue in north Tamil Nadu

South West  monsoon has been vigorous over Sub­ Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry. It has been active over Assam, Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal and South Interior Karnataka. The axis of monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Anupgarh, Churu, Gwalior, Banda, Daltonganj, Midnapore extending to North East Bay of Bengal upto 0.9 km above mean sea level. 

Heavy to very heavy rain is likely over Gujarat and Uttarakhand. Down South, thunder showers will continue over north Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema and parts of Western Ghats in Tamil Nadu. The West Coast of the country will continue to soak in the seasonal rains.Temperatures in Tamil Nadu will remain marginally below normal in the next 24 hours.


City Outlook:

Chennai will continue to stay a bit comfortable with a day time high of 33/34 C, with a chance of rain.
Coimbatore will stay much comfortable at 32/33 C with a chance of rain.
Trichy will stay warm with a day time high of 34 C. Rain chance persists.
Vellore will be cloudy with a day time maximum hovering around 34 C. Rain can be expected late in the afternoon.
Madurai will stay warm and cloudy with a day time high of 34/35 C.
