Under the auspices of favorable weather conditions, some parts of the peninsula are expected to receive mild to moderate rainfall over the next few days. Numerical weather models indicate an end to what has been a relatively dry September for most parts of the state. The extended trough across Kerala and Tamil Nadu into the bay continues to persist creating instability needed to trigger thunderstorms.

Vellore – Moderate chances of thunderstorms with a high of about 33 degrees and a low of about 23 degrees.
Tiruchi – Mostly sunny during the day with a high of about 35 degrees. Isolated thunderstorm could bring sharp showers towards the evening.
Madurai – Partly cloudy and warm with a high of about 37 degrees and a low of about 28 degrees.
Coimbatore – Partly cloudy and breezy with a high of about 31 degrees and a low of about 23 degrees.
